Unwelcome visitor gets the Lowcountry talking.

A live alligator that came ashore on Monday on Isle of Palms has the Lowcountry abuzz. Live5 News sports reporter Kevin Bilodeau captured a few shots of the reptile, which exited the water, strolled to an umbrella and enjoyed a few minutes under the shade. Animal Control officers captured the animal a short time later.

Alligators are mostly freshwater animals, but it's not unusual for the creatures to venture into saltwater for brief periods. This wasn't the first incident involving a gator on a local beach, the TV station reports. This recent report has the Internet abuzz much like a earlier this summer.
