Summerville Soldier Receives 'Coyote' Patch for Service
Sgt. Joshua Edwards will be part of a six-month deployment to Afghanistan.

A Summerville soldier was one of six out-of-state soldiers to be welcomed into the 129th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment for a six-month deployment to Afghanistan.
Sgt. Joshua Edwards of Summerville, along with six other soldiers placed the coyote patch on their left sleeves while at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., March 9.
The patch symbolizes, "One Team, One Fight."

The mission of the 129th MPAD is to tell the military’s story through print and broadcast journalism and embedded civilian media, according to the Department of Defense. The 129th was short a few team members and issued a call throughout the their Tour of Duty system asking for help.
