Town Ends Fire Station Contract with Linden Construction

Town will look to next low bidder to complete the job.

The Town of Summerville has terminated its contract with Linden Construction to complete the fire station on Butternut and Central Avenue in Knightsville.

The project broke ground late last year. Summerville Town Council authorized Mayor Bill Collins to negotiate with Linden Construction to end the contract. The town has kept mum on the reason the contract was terminated.

According to one subcontractor, the town had not been paying the contractor for some time.
