Councilman asks attorney to draw up an ordinance to curb

A Summerville Town Councilman is seeking to curb excessive fireworks celebrations around town, Journal Scene reported.

Councilman Walter Bailey asked town attorney G.W. Parker to draw up an ordinance to "prohibit shooting audible fireworks after a certain hour, with exceptions for Independence Day and New Year’s Eve, and to prohibit shooting fireworks onto someone else’s property or public property," the publication reported.
