Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:
- The Chattanooga Fire Department Academy has graduated 18 cadets during its ceremony on Thursday. The graduation ceremony was held at Clear Creek Church of Christ. The newest graduates learned numerous skills through a rigorous and long training process. They are now prepared to help the Chattanooga community during emergencies. (The Chattanoogan)
- Are you curious about the safety of certain areas within Chattanooga? The Chattanooga Times Free Press has pinpointed each 2022 shooting on an interactive map of the city. The majority of the known shooting locations this year have occurred downtown with a handle of shootings occurring in the northeast part of the city. Click the following link to view the map. - Chattanooga residents have finally found relief at the gas pump. The average price of gasoline in Chattanooga fell 10.7 cents compared to last week. According to the GasBuddy survey, the average price of gasoline is now $4.36 per gallon - significantly better than the national average of $5.80 per gallon. (The Chattanoogan)
