Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:
- Jamaal Parker, 37, has been convicted by a federal jury on drug trafficking charges in Chattanooga. He now faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison. Parker's sentencing will occur in October. (WTVC)
- Downtown Chattanooga businesses went without water for nearly seven hours on Wednesday when a water main broke. Businesses affected by the shut off included the Chattanooga Convention Center. Tennessee American Water crews were able to fix the main break along 13th Street and Carter Street shortly before 2:00 p.m. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- Chattanooga Fire Department employees and volunteers gathered to build a house for a veteran that lost their home in the F5 tornado in December 2021. The crew built the 2,300 square foot home for Tim Andreasen and his family in Mayfield, Kentucky. Chattanooga firefighters routinely use vacation time to travel across the country building homes for those in need. (MyFox Chattanooga)
