Local advocates at the Dr. Carol Berz Family Justice Center say it will help identify high‑risk cases, track escalating abuse, and better protect victims while connecting them with support and information about their rights.
   

5. Rock Spring Man Whose Child Was Shot Said He Kept Gun Due To Threats (chattanoogan.com) — A Rock Spring, Georgia toddler shot on Christmas Day was rushed to T.C. Thompson hospital in Chattanooga, where the child underwent surgery and remains in critical but stable condition. The child’s father says he kept the gun close after ongoing threats, and a GoFundMe has been launched to help the family with mounting expenses while he stays at the hospital.
