Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:

  1. The popular Chattanooga Margarita Festival is returning this August. The festival will feature 20 of Chattanooga's best restaurants and bars while celebrating all things margarita. Participants will help crown the best margarita in Chattanooga. Click the link for the full list of festival entries. (The Chattanoogan)
  2. The City of Chattanooga has been given $4.9 million in federal money to clean up the U.S. Pipe/Wheland Foundry site. The location is the proposed site of the new minor league baseball stadium. $500,000 will be used for brownfield assessments, another $500,000 for clean-up, and the remaining funds will be used for revolving loan funds to revitalize the property.   3. The Chattanooga Jewish Film Series is offering a free virtual screening of "Image of Victory." The movie will be screened from Jul. 17 through Jul. 22. The screening is basically a prologue to the film series that begins on Aug. 17. Click to register. (Chattanooga Pulse)
