Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:

1. "Chattanooga As Text" participants will be presenting their innovative solutions projects to local stakeholders today. The program is a three-week-long summer course for 16 10th and 11th-grade girls. This year's course focuses on the theme "Community Outside". (The Chattanoogan)

3. A Chattanooga panel will be considering a $50 million state grant to Volkswagen. The Chattanooga Industrial Development Board will be considering the grant to reimburse the automaker for expenses related to its $800 million expansion.
