  1. A Hamilton County grand jury has indicted a Chattanooga man for the 2016 house fire that killed his mother. Joshua Wells, 32, has been charged with murdering his mother when he set her home on fire while she slept. Wells is currently being held at Hamilton County Jail for other pending crimes that took place after the alleged arson. According to officials, the six-year-old case will finally go to trial. (WTVC)
  2. Chattanooga earned top marks from TripAdvisor as the best winter destination for domestic travel. The City trumped seasonal travel go-to locales such as Miami and Orlando. Some of the top destinations in Chattanooga include the Read House, the Tennessee Aquarium, and the Edwin Hotel. Add in Chattanooga's vibrant restaurant scene and nightlife, and it's easy to see why the city stands out for winter travel. (WDEF News 12)
  3. The Chattanooga housing market is projected to be one of the top in the country in 2023. A new report from Realtor.com names Chattanooga as the ninth hottest housing market in the nation. Experts believe that the city's median home price will increase by 8.2 percent in the coming year. Home sales are expected to climb as well, growing by about 2.9 percent in 2023.
