  1. The Chimp Chattanooga Soiree will raise funds for chimps in need. The event is organized by local nonprofit Global Action Initiatives Alliance in partnership with Grey Rocks, GAIA Talks: The Earth Speaks, and BeMagazine.org. The soiree will be on Friday, Jun. 24 at Grey Rocks from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (The Chattanoogan)
  2. The Chattanooga Beer Board will be considering issuing violations to Mary's Bar & Grill. The five proposed violations are in response to a shooting that killed three individuals and injured 14 others. The five violations are offenses involving minors, unauthorized use or consumption of beverages, non-authorized use of premises by permit, telephone reports of disorders, and operating a disorderly place.   3. ChattBitcoin will be hosting an introductory event about cryptocurrency on Monday. The informational meeting will be at the Read House from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Participants will be able to get all of their questions answered while learning about mining and purchasing. Bitcoin dropped in value by 15 percent on Monday with half of its value lost this year. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
