  1. On Jan. 14, check out Disney Jr.’s Peabody Award Winning “Cecil Doc McStuffin’s” debut Museum Exhibit at the Creative Discovery Museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The animated series is known globally for encouraging young people to practice good health, along with caring for their friends, through the narrative of a six-year-old main character who mends and cares for sick toys in her backyard. This is certain to be a transformative exhibit for both children and families alike! (Chattanooga Pulse)
  2. The Chattanooga Better Business Bureau advises Facebook users to think twice before sharing an online missing child or pet alert. Posts that appear to be from your local community can actually be from another state or country and designed to serve as a bait and switch material. These posts might appear on your feed showing info about a missing child or pet — thereby deceiving well-intentioned individuals to hand over money and personal information and can often be the result of friends or connections having been hacked. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
  3. The United Way of Greater Chattanooga will begin accepting applications on Jan. 23 for grants. Counties include Hamilton, Sequatchie and Marion in Tennessee, and Walker, Dade and Catoosa in Northwest Georgia. The deadline is Feb. 28, with winners announced in May. (WDEF News 12)
