- An iconic historical church in Chattanooga caught fire on Friday evening. The Highland Park Baptist Church, known for once hosting Martin Luther King Jr. during one of his preachings, has been severely damaged by the fire. The smoke from the fire caused a "shelter in place" warning to be issued for residents living within five blocks of the church. (WATE 6 On Your Side)

- Chattanooga community members gathered on Saturday to advocate for gun reform. The event was part of the national March for Our Lives movement. Local leaders spoke at the event that occurred throughout Chattanooga's downtown area. More than 40 pastors hosted prayer vigils in connection with the event to pray for community healing following the recent mass shootings. (News Channel 9)
