- A Chattanooga playwright is debuting his latest two-act play at Theatre Centre beginning Jul. 22. Michael Dexter's "Giant Steps: An Urbean Musical" will be performed through Aug. 7. - The Chattanooga Police Department reports that officers were injured while arresting an armed suspect on Friday evening. The department responded to the 4900 block of Jeffrey Lane after a call was made about a person with a gun causing a disturbance. One officer was severely bitten and another's finger was injured. Emergency Medical Services examined the officers. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
