Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:
- Chattanooga Elks Lodge has received a grant to offer home repair services to veterans. The grant was provided by the Elks National Foundation and was offered on a renewable basis. Chattanooga's lodge was one of 14 lodges to receive the grant. All repair supplies will be covered by the grant and the services are offered at no charge to veterans. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- Volkswagen Chattanooga will be hosting a job fair from Jul. 7 through Jul. 9. The fair will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day at the Volkswagen Academy on Volkswagen Drive. Participants will learn about pay, position details, and work schedules during informational sessions. Interviews can be scheduled for a later date. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- The United Way of Greater Chattanooga will launch a new program for Chattanooga-area students this fall. The program will offer tutoring and literacy services to roughly 3,000 students. The program is made possible through a $4.7 million grant issued by the Tennessee Accelerating Literacy and Learning Corps Community. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)

- The next Nightfall concert will be on Jul. 8 at Miller Park. Yam Haus and Jason Lyles will be performing. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. (Visit Chattanooga)
- Chattanooga's Multicultural Book Festival will be on Jul. 23 from noon to 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Avondale Community Center on Dodson Avenue. Participants will enjoy giveaways, fun activities, and local food. (Visit Chattanooga)
- The Hunter Museum of American Art will be hosting Throwback Thursday on Jul. 7. Free admission will be available for the museum's permanent collection with a $5 charge for the current exhibition. (City of Chattanooga)
