- The Chattanooga Police Department reports that a man was shot in the 4100 block of Rossville Boulevard following an altercation. The incident occurred just before 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injury. No arrests have been made. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)

- A man was rescued by Chattanooga Fire Rescue from the Tennessee River near Chickamauga Dam on Tuesday afternoon. The individual was kayaking when his vessel began to sink due to a sudden hole. A Good Samaritan called the department after observing the man from the dam's bridge. The kayaker was not wearing a life vest. (WDEF)
