  1. An employee of Chattanooga’s Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum was killed in a shop accident on Wednesday. The shop where the accident occurred specializes in restoring old railroad equipment. George Walker was a long-time employee of the museum and began volunteering there in 1981. As of Friday afternoon, no further details about the accident have been publicized.   2. Chattanooga is in the process of adding dozens of smart intersections throughout the city. About 86 intersections downtown will soon have sensing technology that gathers data on real-time traffic and usage. (Smart Cities Dive)
