- Garry Mac, a well-known broadcaster in Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday night. Mac worked at several local broadcast outlets and was a co-host of a morning show on WGOW. His most popular feature was "media madness," a segment on changes in the Chattanooga broadcasting industry. He was remembered as a curious and talented conversationalist by his colleagues and friends. (Chattanoogan)
- The Chattanooga Housing Authority is opening a new waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher Program through an online lottery system. Applications can be made through the CHA's website using a smartphone or computer with internet access; assistance and computer access will be available at the CHA office and public libraries for a fee. The lottery will take place on Feb. 9 and results will be posted on Feb. 16. (Chattanoogan)
- A Chattanoogan and veteran is giving back by developing a directory to support fellow veterans. Melissa Anne, the creator of Veteran Aware, aims to help veterans find career sources and other resources that can be difficult to find. Melissa previously served as an Army medic. (News Channel 9)
