2 Inmates Who Escaped Sullivan County Jail Found Dead In NC
Authorities said two escapees are dead after robbing a NC convenience store and leading police on a car chase. A third inmate is at large.
BLOUNTVILLE, TN — Two of the three inmates that escaped Sullivan County Jail over the weekend are dead with the third still at large, authorities said.
Police in North Carolina confirmed to Tennessee authorities that Tobias Carr and Timothy Sarver died after robbing a convenience store and leading officers on a lengthy car chase that ended in Wilmington, North Carolina, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office said.
The third escaped inmate, Johnny Brown, is still at large.
