ETSU: University School Accepting Applications For Upcoming Academic Year

The deadline to apply is Feb. 28.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Admissions for the 2022-2023 academic school
year at University School have opened up, and applications will be accepted through Feb. 28, 2022.

As a public K-12 school, there are no tuition fees associated with enrollment. However,
there may be some academic fees where applicable. A list of fees can be found on the
β€œAcademic Fees” section of the University School web page.

For your child to be eligible for kindergarten, they must turn 5 years old by Aug.
15, 2022. The kindergarten and grades 1, 2, and 3 enrolls 20 students, while grade
4 enrolls 24 students and grade 5 enrolls 48 students. Grades 6, 7, and 8 have 52
students each, and grades 9-12 will have no more than 90 students per grade level.
Admittance is determined by lottery, based on space availability and an order of priority.

First priority is given to children whose parent or guardian is a full-time University
School faculty or staff member. Next in that order are siblings of students already
in attendance at the school. The third priority group are current residents of Washington
County, TN, and the final priority group are residents outside of Washington County,
TN.

Applications received after the deadline will be added to the waiting list in the
order by which they were received. Applicants who are not admitted will need to reapply
during the next enrollment period. Parents or guardians who wish to continue their
children’s enrollment in University School must complete a re-enrollment form. This form must be received by Feb. 28, 2022.
