Memphis to Host Top Prep Basketball Prospects
Two-day showcase will feature 15 teams, 15 games, and impressive lineup of some of the nation's top hoopers.
A showcase of some of the top high school basketball talent in the country is happening at Briarcrest Christian School in Eads this weekend.
The Grind Session is a winter circuit of high school basketball events from late November until early March that consists of elite teams from all over the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. To put into perspective how good this circuit is: over the past 10 years, more than 100 players from the Grind Session have gone on to play in the NBA, including two-time Tennessee Mr. Basketball and former Memphis Grizzlies guard Kennedy Chandler.
"College coaches are looking for players that are ready, seasoned and developed to play college basketball and our level of competition is that," said Cesar Vizcarrondo, Chief Brand Officer of The Grind Session. "It's paramount to their development to get exposed to different levels of play, different styles of play, and also just new players in different areas."
