Greater Memphis Chamber CEO talks new tech district, jobs and potential construction date (actionnews5.com) — A massive new “Neural Nexus” tech district is planned for Downtown Memphis, promising hundreds of construction, retail, and high-tech jobs plus major tax revenue for nearby infrastructure, schools, and parks. Backed by Legacy Power Capital and championed by the Greater Memphis Chamber, the cloud-computing-focused project aims to boost FedEx and local institutions while avoiding heavy strain on the city’s power grid.
   

2. MLGW drops $1,100 'adjustment' after woman's meter goes unread for months (fox13memphis.com) — A Memphis mother saw an unexpected $1,500 MLGW bill after her electric meter reportedly went unread for nine months, leading to an $1,100 “adjustment.” After she challenged the charge, MLGW agreed to drop the adjustment, and FOX13 is inviting other Memphis customers with billing concerns to reach out for help.
   

3. MPD: Juvenile suspects escape from youth facility (wreg.com) — Memphis police are searching for two 16-year-old boys who escaped late Wednesday from the Memphis Youth Academy on East Raines Road, slipping through a restroom ceiling and over a fence. Both were being held on nonviolent charges, and MPD has released descriptions while asking anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
   

4. Memphis-based Black Farmers group opting out of Trump Administration assistance program (localmemphis.com) — A Memphis-based Black farmers association is refusing payments from a new $12 billion federal aid program, arguing it discriminates against Black farmers and excludes key crops. After a recent appeals court setback tied to the Inflation Reduction Act, the group is planning a Supreme Court lawsuit and urging Congress to halt the payments, continuing a high-profile legal fight that has drawn farmers to Memphis.
   

5. TN Lottery Cash4Life, Cash 3 Morning winning numbers for Dec. 11, 2025 (tennessean.com subscription) — Tennessee Lottery players can now check the Dec. 11 winning numbers and see exactly how to claim prizes, including at the Memphis District Office on Highway 64.
