MLGW drops $1,100 'adjustment' after woman's meter goes unread for months (fox13memphis.com) — A Memphis mother saw an unexpected $1,500 MLGW bill after her electric meter reportedly went unread for nine months, leading to an $1,100 “adjustment.” After she challenged the charge, MLGW agreed to drop the adjustment, and FOX13 is inviting other Memphis customers with billing concerns to reach out for help.

MPD: Juvenile suspects escape from youth facility (wreg.com) — Memphis police are searching for two 16-year-old boys who escaped late Wednesday from the Memphis Youth Academy on East Raines Road, slipping through a restroom ceiling and over a fence. Both were being held on nonviolent charges, and MPD has released descriptions while asking anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
