16-Year-Old Arrested With Stolen Gun: Nashville Police

A teenager was arrested Friday holding a handgun stolen from a Mt. Juliet gun store in April, police said.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested a 16-year-old Friday night who they said was carrying a pistol stolen from a Mt. Juliet gun store in April.

An officer with the newly created juvenile crime task force said the teenager ran away when he saw him at 40th and Clifton.

The officer caught up to the teen and found a .22 caliber handgun in his pocket, according to a police report.

That gun was one of 10 stolen from nRange, a Mt. Juliet gun store, April 20, 2017.

Metro Police notified the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the 16-year-old was booked into juvenile detention.
