2 Bodies Found In Burned-Out Cars In Cheatham County Are From Nashville, Sheriff Says

Two bodies have been found inside burnt cars in rural Cheatham County in the last month. The sheriff says they are likely from Nashville.

ASHLAND CITY, TN — In the last month, two bodies have been discovered inside burned-out cars in rural Cheatham County, prompting a TBI investigation and putting the pastoral area northwest of Nashville on edge.

The county's sheriff announced this weekend that both bodies likely came from Nashville and were brought to the secluded area for disposal.

The sheriff's office posted a message on Facebook Sunday in an effort to quash rumors that a third body had been discovered.

On September 9, the first body was found in a car on Willy Pardue Road. Investigators are unsure how long it had been there. Early on the morning of September 25, officials responded to a car fire on River Road near Pond Creek Road and found a body in the trunk of the car.

Neither body has been identified. The sheriff's message Sunday is the first official confirmation that both were homicides.
