1. Nashville woman killed in pedestrian-involved crash on Bell Road (wkrn.com) — A 20-year-old woman from Nashville was killed Friday evening after being hit by two vehicles while walking in a left-turn lane at Bell Road and Rice Road, according to Metro police. Both drivers stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, and investigators are working to notify the victim’s family as they continue reviewing the fatal crash.
   

2. Radnor Lake State Park expands with 9 new acres for hiking trails (newschannel5.com) — Radnor Lake State Park, a favorite escape for many Nashvillians, is adding 9 acres and a new Harris Ridge Trail expected to open in 2026. The expansion near Franklin Road and Old Hickory Boulevard will create a longer hike into one of Nashville’s quietest spots and needs local volunteers to help clear trash, invasives, and old structures.
   

3. New laws taking effect in Tennessee Jan. 1, 2026 (wate.com) — Nashville residents will see several new Tennessee laws kick in Jan. 1, including a domestic violence offender registry, mandatory human-trafficking training for tattoo artists, and expanded chiropractic options for animals. A Nashville veterinarian raises concerns about animal chiropractic rules, while other measures aim to boost bicyclist safety and strengthen protections for vulnerable residents statewide.
   

4. Pedestrian flown to Nashville hospital after Clarksville crash (wkrn.com) — A Clarksville postal worker was airlifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville after being hit by a car while crossing a street, and he’s now in stable condition. The crash, which happened Friday evening in Clarksville, remains under investigation as police look into whether the driver’s headlights were on at the time.
   

5. Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency seeking photography submissions for Magazine Photo Contest (wpsdlocal6.com) — Nashville-based Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is inviting photographers to submit up to 10 wildlife shots for its 2026–27 magazine photo contest, with winning images featured in calendars and other publications. Entries, focused on Tennessee wildlife and outdoor scenes, are due March 20, 2026, and selected photographers can earn a small cash stipend and statewide exposure.
