NASHVILLE, TN -- Federal prosecutors charged four more members of the Clarksville chapter of the Mongols motorcycle gang with a host of crimes Wednesday, including racketeering, money laundering, drug trafficking and murder.

Twelve members of the gang and three associates were charged in January on a 54-count indictment alleging they engaged in a series of violent criminal activities, including murder, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, robbery, extortion, witness tampering, money laundering, interstate travel in aid of racketeering, and large scale drug trafficking. • William "Flip" Nelper, 49, of Trenton, Ky.
  • William "JC" Boylston, 27, of Clarksville
  • Jason "Country" Meyerholz, 43, of Clarksville
  • Christopher Wilson, 35, of Clarksville

Prosecutors alleged that on Nov. 19, 2017, Boylston, Meyerholz and Wilson kidnapped Stephen Cole, a member of the Clarksville Mongols, at gunpoint, stripped him of his personal property, including his shoes, wallet and cell phones. Boylston and Meyerholz then transported Cole to Nelper’s residence in Trenton, Ky., where they murdered him, disposed of his body and burned evidence of the crimes. All four defendants are charged with the kidnapping of Cole that resulted in his death. Additionally, Boylston, Meyerholz and Nelper are charged with murdering Stephen Cole in aid of racketeering.

The indictment also charges Nelper, Boylston and Meyerholz with the racketeering conspiracy and charges Nelper with large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering. The indictment further charges Meyerholz with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

The Mongols are a self-proclaimed outlaw gang, identifying themselves as "one percenters," a reference to an apocryphal comment allegedly made by the president of American Motorcycle Association in the 1960s, who supposedly said "99 percent" of bikers are law-abiding; thus, the implication of a "one percenter" is that they are not.
