4 Teens Arrested After 2-County High-Speed Chase

A high-speed chase began in Wilson County early Wednesday and ended in Germantown with a crash.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A quartet of teens led state troopers on a two-county high-speed chase that ended near downtown Nashville early Wednesday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol began pursuing a car, which had been reported stolen, at 3 a.m in Wilson County. The driver of the vehicle led troopers across Percy Priest Lake and into Davidson County, where THP cruisers followed behind into the streets of downtown.

Witnesses reportedly told investigators they saw the car driving down James Robertson Parkway at speeds more than 55 mph before it turned into Germantown. The car eventually crashed into another vehicle at Seventh Avenue and Hume Street, the THP said.

Four juveniles in the car were arrested and will be charged in Wilson County. Troopers said they found ammunition but no weapons inside the car, which had been reported stolen out of Davidson County.
