Bordeaux Beer Burglar Shot By Clerk: Police
A man attempting to steal a case of beer was shot by a convenience store clerk early Friday, Metro Police say.

BORDEAUX, TN -- A convenience store clerk apparently shot a man who was allegedly stealing a case of beer early Friday morning, according to Metro Police.
Around 2:45 Friday morning, Said Hermina, the clerk at the Kwik Sak at the corner of Clarksville Pike and South Hamilton Road, fired on Jerry Smith Jr., who he said was stealing a case of beer and indicated he was armed. Police said there was some sort of confrontation on the sidewalk in front of the store and Hermina shot Smith at least once in the leg.
Smith was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. First responders had to apply a tourniquet to his leg.
