Broken Brake Light Stop Becomes Pot Bust
A routine traffic stop yielded 14.5 grams of marijuana and $40,000, according to Nashville police.

NASHVILLE, TN — A routine early-morning traffic stop led to a drug bust and cash seizure, Metro Police say.
A patrol officer pulled over a car around 1:30 Friday morning because of a broken brake light. The driver, Wanyaa Lewis, admitted he had a suspended license.

Lewis gave the officer permission to search the car, according to an arrest report. The officer found a black duffel bag in the trunk which contained $40,000 cash. A search of Lewis passenger, Cayla Graham, yielded 14.5 grams of marijuana.
Detectives believe they intended to sell the pot.
