Here are the top three stories in Nashville today:

  1. Tyler Hubbard, as a solo artist, has achieved his second No. 1 hit on the country charts with "Dancin' In The Country," a song he co-wrote with Keith Urban, Ross Copperman, and Jon Nite for his self-titled debut solo album. To celebrate this milestone and his one-year anniversary as a solo artist, Hubbard performed a surprise concert at Nashville's renowned venue, The Stage. He expressed gratitude to country radio, his fans, and his collaborators for their support and creativity in making this achievement possible. (musicrow.com)
  2. Fort Campbell soldier Bradley Cheek is facing charges of rape after allegedly assaulting a friend. The incident occurred when Cheek asked the victim for a ride home after a night out in Nashville, and during the drive, he allegedly made unwanted advances and repeatedly asked for sex. Upon reaching the victim's apartment, Cheek reportedly raped her, despite her objections. Cheek claimed the encounter was consensual but admitted to stopping because it "wasn't right," and he later tried to convince the victim to tell investigators it was a misunderstanding. (WSMV 4)
  3. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, a popular burger joint from New York City, has expanded its operations to downtown Nashville, offering its signature burgers, beers, and milkshakes. The grand opening featured a variety of menu items, including their award-winning craft burgers, CrazyShake® milkshakes, and new additions inspired by local tastes. The Nashville location will operate from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and until 12:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. (WSMV 4)
