Couple Sought For Questioning In Connection With Friday Night Fatal Shooting Outside Bar Louie

The victim was Timothy Fields, 30, of Nashville.

Homicide Unit detectives are working to identify a man and a woman wanted for questioning in connection with Friday night’s fatal shooting of Timothy Fields, 30, outside Bar Louie on 11th Avenue South.

The investigation shows that Fields, of Nashville, had been a patron of Bar Louie and was described as being very sociable with other customers. At approximately 9 p.m., Fields walked outside to smoke a cigarette. There was some type of brief interaction with an individual outside of a dark colored Nissan Altima that was parked in front of the establishment. Fields was shot in the chest. The shooter is believed to have gotten into the Altima and fled. Fields was rushed by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

Surveillance footage (photo attached) shows the man and woman wanted for questioning arriving in the Altima earlier in the evening. He is described as a heavyset black man with facial tattoos who is 5’5 to 5’7” tall. His red tipped dreads were in a ponytail.
