Dog Dies After Being Thrown From Car In Nashville: Police
Metro Police say that someone threw a small Yorkshire terrier mix from a car west of downtown early Monday. The dog later died.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Nashville firefighters took a small dog to the 24-hour emergency veterinarian early Monday morning after it had been reportedly thrown from a moving car west of downtown. The dog later died.
Passersby flagged down a fire truck at the intersection of Charlotte Avenue and D.B. Todd Boulevard around 1 a.m. Monday to alert them they'd seen the pup tossed out of a car's window. The firefighters discovered the Yorkshire terrier mix and took it to the 12th Avenue all-night vet. The vet told Metro Animal Care and Control the dog’s injuries were too significant for it to be saved.
