Early Morning Road Rage Shooting Injures 1

Metro Police say a woman was shot downtown in an early morning road rage incident.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A woman told police she was shot in the leg by another motorist in an apparent road rage incident early Saturday morning.

The woman said a person in a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee shot into her car several times at 17th Avenue and Church around 1 a.m. She drove away and pulled over on Interstate 40 near the 46th Avenue exit and called 911.

The woman was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and an investigation is ongoing.
