Ex-TSU Football Player Arrested For Punching Coach On Sideline
Defensive end Latrelle Lee was kicked off the TSU football team and expelled after he punched the Tigers strength coach during a game.

NASHVILLE, TN — The former Tennessee State University football player filmed punching the team's strength coach during a game was arrested Tuesday.
Video of senior defensive end Latrelle Lee punching coach T.J. Greenstone during the Tigers Saturday game against Southeast Missouri went viral. Lee was subsequently kicked off the team by head coach Rod Reed and expelled from TSU, where he was majoring in criminal justice.
According to Lee's arrest affidavit, Greenstone was giving "verbal directives to the players" when he was struck multiple times by Lee, sending the coach to the ground where he was left "dazed and somewhat unconscious from the punches."

Lee is charged with aggravated assault.
“We, of course, do not condone any act of violence within our department and are very disturbed by the action of one of our students," Director of Athletics Teresa Phillips said. "We are committed to supporting the coach who was personally affected and our concern now is with him.”
