According to an investigation, Booth — who told the victim he was 23 — met the victim on Twitter and the two met on campus in September. The pair rode around in Booth's Dodge Charger and ended up in a secluded part of the overflow parking lot for Hale Hall.

The victim and Booth began to nod off in the car, according to the affidavit, and Booth began groping the victim's legs and back. Booth did not stop when asked and then raped the victim, investigators said.
