Falling Equipment Kills Man At West Nashville Freight Yard

A man died at a Centennial Boulevard freight yard when a piece of equipment fell on him early Tuesday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A man working at a West Nashville freight yard died early Tuesday when a piece of heavy equipment fell on him.

First responders arrived at YRC Freight around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. A piece of equipment used to move trailers around the property apparently fell on the man.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

OSHA was on the scene investigating the accident Tuesday.
