Fore Wheeler: Man Allegedly Steals, Wrecks Golf Course ATV

A Nashville man crashed an ATV he allegedly stole from a city-owned golf course, police say.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 21-year-old Nashville man reportedly took an ATV for a joyride after stealing it from a city-owned golf course.

Metro Police said Kahlil Gordon admitted he'd wrecked a Kubota side-by-side found near Buchanan Street and 14th Avenue North Tuesday morning and admitted he'd stolen it when he found left running with the keys in the ignition at Ted Rhodes Golf Course on Ed Temple Boulevard. He managed to drive it about a mile and a half before wrecking and abandoning it.

Police reportedly located Gordon at a house where the fire department had spotted a fight in progress.

Gordon is charged with vehicle theft, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to file a written report and driving on a revoked license.
