Hatchet-Swinging Man Steals Vienna Sausages, Beef Jerky: Police
A 27-year-old man used a hatchet to steal various processed meats from a Jefferson Street Family Dollar, police said.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 27-year-old man used a hatchet to hold up a Nashville Family Dollar Thursday, stealing Vienna sausages and beef jerky, Metro Police said.
According to an affidavit, Timothy Wiggins walked into the Family Dollar on Jefferson Street wearing a green jacket and green sweatshirt, but employees told police they saw Wiggins change out of his green clothes and put on a red jacket and hat off the rack.
When the employees confronted him, Wiggins allegedly pulled a hatchet from his pants and threatened them. As the staff called 911, they told police they saw Wiggins take a can of Vienna sausage and some beef jerky before running from the store.

Police saw Wiggins on the street in the red clothing and arrested him. They also say they found the hatchet and processed meat.
Wiggins is charged with aggravated burglary.
