Help Fulfill the NEED for Character Resources

I know, I know, there are so many worthy nonprofit organizations that surround us here in Tennessee, and well, we are one of them, Characters of Character NFP. Our mission is to provide a firm foundation for children to establish strong civic values through our nine animal traits. Have we met? These characters were created in 2005 and earned a National Promising Practice Award in 2007 and have impacted, engaged and embraced thousands of children since that time.

With what began as an art project in a special needs classroom to publishing books, hosting painting classes, creating character building lessons and activities and creating our Superhero Character Building activity boxes. The boxes began after we discovered the need for items for children in the hospitals and has now branched out to the YMCA'S, Fort Campbell Army Base, Grace Academy, Social Workers, classrooms and now our new project for a low income After School Program in Robertson County. Our organization does not have a brick and mortor location, we work from home, fulfill boxes from home, create content from home, write blogs,newsletters and social media content from home and so many times it's not that easy to get these projects and messages into the hands of our children and youth where they belong. Why?

These resources teach life-changing values like respect, responsibility, kindness, perseverance, and confidence, skills that help kids succeed in school, build healthy friendships, and dream
bigger than their circumstances.For many of these children, this may be the first time someone has invested in their personal growth and believed in their potential. You can be

However, Tennessee is where our heart is and we live. In 2021 we moved here and haven't looked back. Well, I have, in this heat!! I sometimes wonder if the Chicago snow wasn't so bad after spending months in the heat!! My husband of 44 years assures me it is not!!!! We are here for the long haul and hope you'll join us in making a difference in the life of a child.
