- Hidden items connected to a previous jail scheme orchestrated by criminal justice advocate Alex Friedmann have been discovered in the Nashville detention center, several years after the incident took place. The items, including loaded guns, ammunition, a makeshift uniform, black shoes, handcuff keys, and cash, were found in a non-secure area of the Davidson County Sheriff's Office Downtown Detention Center. Friedmann is currently serving a 40-year prison sentence for his involvement in the scheme. The recent discovery sheds light on the extent of his elaborate plan and highlights the dedication of law enforcement in solving the mystery. (WKRN News 2)
- A Nashville man has tragically died after drowning at a Florida beach while red flags were flying, indicating hazardous conditions. Deputies and rescue personnel responded to the scene and were able to rescue two other individuals, but the 58-year-old victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
