• Metro Public Health Department launches Community Resource Directory (wkrn.com) — Nashville’s Metro Public Health Department has launched an online Community Resource Directory listing more than 250 local service providers to help residents find everything from housing and food to health care and legal aid. Funded by a federal public health grant, the site organizes resources into nine easy-to-browse categories and is still accepting new organizations that want to be included.
   

• Nashville Safe Surrender program handles 630 court matters, helps dozens with warrants (newschannel5.com) — Nashville’s Safe Surrender weekend at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church cleared 630 court matters and helped more than 40 people address 77 outstanding nonviolent warrants with Davidson County judges’ favorable consideration. One man even returned as a volunteer after resolving his Metro Nashville traffic warrant. Organizers say the program offers relief, second chances, and less stress for families heading into the holidays.
