How To Watch Cane Ridge, DCA, MBA In State Football Championships

Three Metro teams are among the 18 vying for a state football title this weekend in Cookeville. Here's how to watch.

COOKEVILLE, TN -- Over three days in Cookeville, nine Tennessee high school football championships will be awarded and three Metro teams are among the 18 vying for the big golden ball.

Cane Ridge (13-1) will take on perennial power Maryville (13-1) in Friday's nightcap, scheduled for 7 p.m., for the Division I Class 6A title. In Division II, 9-3 Donelson Christian will face undefeated Friendship Christian for the Class A title at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Montgomery Bell (10-2) squaring off with undefeated Brentwood Academy in the final game of the weekend in the Class AAA title game, scheduled for 7 p.m.

All games will be broadcast locally on WUXP MyTV-30. NFHSnetwork.com will livestream the games. That service costs $9.95 for all nine games. Tickets are $12 with a $10 cash-only parking fee.

  • Class 5A: Knoxville Catholic (11-3) vs. Beech (14-0), 7 p.m.

Friday

  • Class 2A: Chattanooga Tyner (12-2) vs. Union City (12-2), 11 a.m.
  • Class 4A: Greeneville (14-0) vs. Springfield (11-3), 3 p.m.
  • Class 6A: Cane Ridge (13-1) vs. Maryville (13-1), 7 p.m.

Saturday

  • Division II-A: Friendship Christian (12-0) vs. DCA (9-3), 11 a.m.
  • Division II-AA: Lausanne (12-0) vs. Notre Dame (11-1), 3 p.m.
  • Division II-AAA: Brentwood Academy (11-0) vs. MBA (10-2), 7 p.m.
