Jailer Accused Of Watching Child Porn At State Prison

Metro Police arrested a 54-year-old Tennessee correctional officer on child porn charges Tuesday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A state corrections officer admitted to viewing child pornography five times on computers at a state prison, according to Metro Police.

The warden at Riverbend Maximum Security Prison contacted Metro Police after video surveillance allegedly captured Randall McLendon, 54, accessing Facebook on a work computer Tuesday and then watching a pornographic video of a toddler.

The warden called police and an officer said McLendon admitted to watching the video and confessed to watching child pornography on a work computer five times since the first of the year.

The warden also told police that McLendon's internet history showed he viewed at least one other video and one still image of child pornography.

The Tennessee Department of Correction terminated McLendon pending an investigation. He is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
