LetGo Bandit Arrested: Nashville Police
A man wanted for a string of robberies set up via the LetGo app was arrested Friday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested a man Friday accused of setting up a string of robberies late last year using the LetGo app.
Investigators say Desmond Amos, 20, used the app to lure a man to the Richland Hills apartment complex Nov. 5, saying he had a car for sale. Once the man arrived, Amos told him to walk with him up a hill, out of sight of the man's girlfriend, according to police. Amos then pulled a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the man "give me your stuff," according to an affidavit. The victim initially refused and Amos hit him. Eventually the man turned over his wallet, which held $750.
Investigators say the victim was able to identify Amos in a photo lineup.

On Nov. 11, Amos listed a PlayStation on LetGo, attracting another person to the apartments, according to police. This time, two hoodie-wearing men approached the victim, pulled a semi-automatic handgun and again demanded the man's property, according to police.
The victim in that case also identified Amos in a photo lineup, detectives said.
