Lingerie Football League Still Exists, Adds Nashville Team
The former Lingerie Football League — now the Legends Football League — will begin play in Nashville in 2018.

NASHVILLE, TN — The Lingerie Football League still exists in 2017, though its now known as the Legends Football League, and the all-women indoor seven-on-seven league will have a Nashville franchise playing at Municipal Auditorium in 2018, the league announced Wednesday.
Founded in 2009 after a pay-per-view game counter-programmed against the Super Bowl halftime show, the league received some media attention and criticism for its revealing uniforms — in the league's earlier years, as befitting its name, the players wore bras, panties and garters. It was also criticized for its low quality of play.
The league re-branded in 2013 and changed its uniforms to what it calls "performance wear" and began marketing to demographics beyond the "beer drinking college students 21 and up."

There were rumors the league would expand to Nashville in 2010, causing some backlash, but now, it seems, the league says it is adding Music City and the team — the Nashville Knights — will feature the league's first female head coach, Danika Brace, a former LFL MVP.
"Being Nashville based and already part of the Tennessee Titans family, I understand passion that Tennesseans have for football. Having also played the LFL game, it provides me a unique perspective. I am truly honored to be the sport’s first-ever female head coach, and even more so, in bringing Knights Football to Music City”, Brace said in a release.
