Supporting Our Military Families with Superhero Strength! 🇺🇸
We’re proud to announce a special donation to Fort Campbell Army Base— bringing our Superhero Character Building Activity Boxes to the children of our brave service members!
Each Superhero Box is designed to build confidence, kindness, and respect — helping kids see the hero within themselves while honoring the real heroes they look up to every day. Inside each box, children discover creative art activities, inspiring character lessons, and fun
ways to practice positive values.

This donation is our way of thanking military families for their courage, sacrifice, and service. Together, we’re helping young heroes grow stronger in character and spirit — one box, one smile, one child at a time. Characters of Character received in kind donations to bring additional Superhero Activity books!
A special thank you to the Nashville Predators Foundation for making this mission possible!
When we brought these boxes to Fort Campbell we were able to share that we received a grant to be able to bring three of our characters there for a visit and donate our Come Learn With Me books, too! The staff asked if the first graders could join in on the visit because they are familiar with the characters, the lessons and what the traits are teaching. "OF COURSE" they can!! This makes us so happy when our resources are being utilized and benefit our children. We will continue to outreach to bring all of the characters there for a visit!

What does a visit bring? Miss Joni reads a social story on the character and the children engage in a discussion of what the trait means. Then, we do an art activity to help reinforce the trait with the students. Finally, they get to meet the character (in costume) which makes them all the more real! We take a group photo and a few weeks later we will autograph it and send it to the staff for their students to be reminded to be of good character!
In the past we did character visits and there are two stories that jump start my happy heart. First one was when I had about thirty children and parents at a local library and I talked about having good manners with Manners Monkey. One young boy sat there looking bored and I asked him if he was okay, he said he was, he just didn't want to be there. I asked him if he would finish listening to our story and then we would be painting Manners Monkey on canvas. He agreed, but was sure to let me know that he did not like to paint! Well, he painted, he finished it and he was more than proud of his work!!
The other was a visit from Friendship Frog and a student looked at the teacher and said, "I already know. you'll be in a costume, Friendship Frog isn't real" and I think you could see my mouth hit the floor! Well, low and behold, the teacher walked in the classroom holding Friendship Frogs hand and I could see that little boy's mouth hit the floor in awe!! The class opted to pass on recess that day to write letters and draw pictures of the visit to share with Friendship Frog.
It's the little things that mean a lot and when you take time to notice them, your heart will dance, too!
