Man Arrested After Downtown Nashville Stick-Up Bid

Metro Police say a man tried to rob a couple of $50 at gunpoint near downtown Nashville Saturday morning.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police say a man threatened a couple with a handgun during an attempt to steal $50 Saturday morning.

Investigators say Herby Pascal, 44, approached a man and woman near the intersection of Rosa L. Parks Boulevard and Monroe Street and demanded $50 while indicating he had a gun in his pocket.

The man told police he told Pascal he didn't have cash, which, according to the affidavit, Pascal did not believe because "he just watched him work on three different cars so he knew he had some money."
