Man Arrested For Chucking Debris From Nashville Overpass

A 58-year-old man is accused of throwing wood and metal from a railroad overpass in Nashville on to cars below.

NASHVILLE, TN — Metro Police arrested a 58-year-old man Tuesday morning who was allegedly throwing wood and metal from a railroad overpass on to 8th Avenue South.

Collie Jackson Jr. allegedly hit several cars when he was throwing lumber and large bolts from the CSX overpass, though none of the drivers were hurt nor were any cars damaged.

Responding officers located Jackson shortly thereafter walking near the tracks. He jogged away and hid but was eventually placed under arrest.

He is charged with felony reckless endangerment, evading arrest and criminal trespass.
