Man Arrested For Shooting North Nashville Teen
A 53-year-old man was arrested for a bad headlight and subsequently accused of shooting a 17-year-old.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police say a 53-year-old man accused of shooting a teenager is in custody.
Members of the special Youth Violence Task Force were in the area of 40th Avenue North and Clifton Avenue Friday when they heard gun shots. They responded and found a 17-year-old shot in the back. The teenager was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is expected to recover.
Detectives say an investigation led to the identification of John Edward Armstrong as the shooter and he was arrested after a traffic stop for a headlight violation.
