Woman Killed By Teen Driver Reportedly Fleeing Gunman: Police

A woman died after an early morning crash in Whites Creek after another driver - who told police she was escaping a gunman - hit his car.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 52-year-old woman died early Sunday after a head-on crash in Whites Creek, allegedly caused by a woman who told police she was fleeing a gunman.

Just after midnight, a 2005 Honda Civic, driven by 52-year-old Robin Jenkins, was hit by a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze on Knight Drive near Whites Creek Pike. Jenkins was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 18-year-old woman driving the Cruze told police another man was shooting at her and her 18-year-old passenger near the crash scene and she was trying to escape.

Jenkins' 16-year-old daughter and the two 18-year-olds in the Cruze were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
